In her opening remarks, Trang Thi Xuan, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee, described the Northwest Culture, Sports and Tourism Week in HCM City as an opportunity to promote the land and people of Son La to residents in HCM City, and to enhance sustainable tourism connectivity.

More than 90 artists and artisans of the provincial Music, Song and Dance Theater brought to the event 12 special performances featuring the culture of Son La ethnic groups with unique customs and tourist attractions.

The programme attracted big crowds of HCM City residents and international tourists. It concluded with a mass dance joined by delegates and artists, with a hope for stronger tourism development in 2024.
