Muoi Noi Market opens

Muoi Noi commune held the opening ceremony of the Muoi Noi Market on August 29. Attending the event were Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Cam Ngoc Minh, former Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and former Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; along with representatives from several provincial departments and agencies and communes across the province.

Nearly 50 stalls at the market showcase, promote and introduce locally produced agricultural products.

The two-day event offers residents and visitors an opportunity to explore stalls and exhibition areas showcasing local products, as well as sample traditional ethnic dishes and local specialties. It also features cultural and musical performances, folk games and community activities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hau praised Muoi Noi commune for organising the market. To ensure its continued success and promote its long-term value, the provincial official called on the commune to strengthen branding for local agricultural products and ensure that all products displayed and promoted at the market have clear origins and meet food safety standards.

He also urged the commune to step up measures to maintain public security and order, ensure traffic safety and environmental sanitation, while creating favourable conditions for local residents to exchange and trade goods.

The market provides Muoi Noi commune with a platform to promote its agricultural and signature products, handicrafts and traditional cuisine, while helping local producers expand their markets. 

It also serves to showcase Muoi Noi as a culturally distinctive, welcoming and close-knit community with strong development potential, fostering greater exchanges with other localities and contributing to the growth of trade, services and community-based tourism./.
