Son La carries out vaccination to protect livestock

Son La province currently has over 524,000 buffaloes and cows, 652,000 pigs, and approximately 8.35 million poultry.

A farmer in Phe Hang hamlet, Muong Khieng commune, develops livestock farming.

To strengthen disease prevention and control, veterinary forces have coordinated with local authorities and farmers to implement comprehensive disease control measures since the beginning of the year.

Vaccinations administered across the province include 211,215 doses against hemorrhagic septicemia in buffaloes and cows, 260,640 doses against foot-and-mouth disease, 74,920 doses against rabies, 61,450 doses against blackleg, 1,983 doses against lumpy skin disease, and 2,700 doses of classical swine fever and anthrax vaccines.

In addition, 13,700 liters of disinfectant chemicals have been distributed to localities for disease control.
