Son La city boasts over 4,000 hectares of fruit trees

Son La city has more than 4,000 hectares of fruit trees, mainly in Chieng Ngan, Chieng Xom, Chieng Den, Chieng Co and Hua La communes and Chieng An ward. The annual fruit yield exceeds 31,000 tonnes.

Among the total area, nearly 2,000 hectares are planted with high-quality new varieties or those improved through grafting. 

Over 160 hectares have been certified with VietGAP standards; 54.3 hectares have been granted planting area codes; 7.8 hectares apply water-saving irrigation systems; 2.1 hectares use greenhouses and net houses. 

The city maintains five safe fruit production and consumption chains with a total area of 69 hectares and an output of 535 tonnes.
