Farmers in Moi hamlet, Sop Cop commune care for Amomum longiligulare plants.
After nearly 10 years, the cultivation area has expanded to over 32 hectares. From the beginning of this year, output has reached more than 25 tonnes of fresh fruit, purchased by traders from other localities at a price of 10,000 VND (0.38 USD) per kilogramme.
This has generated a significant source of income for local residents. The commune is encouraging people to expand cultivation in association with forest protection while seeking stable markets for the product.
