Sop Cop plants 38 hectares of new citrus trees

Since the beginning of this year, residents of Sop Cop commune have planted 38 hectares of new citrus trees, bringing the total citrus-growing area to over 450 hectares.

Of this, more than 270 hectares are currently in harvest, yielding around 760 tonnes of fruit - mainly orange, tangerine, and pomelo, which generate high income for local farmers.

At this time, the citrus trees are bearing young fruit. Local farmers are focusing on weeding, mounding soil around the base, thinning fruit and branches, fertilising, and applying pest control measures according to proper technical guidelines to ensure both productivity and quality.
