Thanks to favourable weather conditions and sufficient water supply, the spring rice grew well, yielding 5.82 tonnes per hectare. Total output reached approximately 76,768 tonnes, up 2,730 tonnes from the 2024 spring crop. Farmers are now focusing on harvesting the remaining area while urgently preparing the soil and sowing seeds to ensure timely planting for the summer-autumn crop.

In the 2025 spring crop, farmers in Muong E commune planted over 340 hectares of rice, mainly Te 225, Dai Thom, and sticky rice strains like 86, 87, 88, and 97. Thanks to favourable weather, effective technical measures, and good pest control, the rice grew well. So far, over half of the area has been harvested, with around 6.5 tonnes per hectare, totaling more than 2,200 tonnes. Local farmers are striving to complete the harvest by the end of July and are simultaneously preparing the soil in harvested fields to ensure timely planting for the summer-autumn crop.
