The trade fair featuring agricultural, forestry and fishery products, processed foods and specialty goods from across Vietnam opens in Moc Son ward.
Attending the opening ceremony were Nguyen Dac Quynh, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and former Head of the provincial Delegation to the National Assembly; representatives of provincial departments and agencies; leaders from communes and wards in the Moc Chau and Van Ho areas; as well as representatives of participating businesses, cooperatives and household businesses, along with large numbers of local residents and tourists.
The fair features 115 booths operated by 107 domestic businesses and cooperatives, including 20 booths showcasing and selling signature agricultural products from Son La province.
The exhibits include regional specialties, OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, agricultural, forestry and fishery products, processed foods, handicrafts, electronics and information technology products, textiles, footwear, cosmetics, souvenirs, ceramics and household goods.
The fair will host a range of activities, including product and brand promotion, demonstrations of new technologies, trade promotion, the signing of cooperation agreements, technology transfers and distribution arrangements with businesses’ agents.
Cultural performances will also be held each evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. from August 28 through September 4.
The event aims to promote trade and economic exchanges, stimulate consumer demand and raise awareness of local products. It also provides an important platform for investors, producers, traders and agricultural processors to meet, share experience, seek business partners, expand markets and boost product sales./.
