Training course enhances agricultural extension knowledge for farmers

The Son La Department of Agriculture and Environment’s Centre for Agricultural Extension and Digital Transformation organised an agricultural extension training course for 30 participants in Thuan Chau commune on August 12-13.

The training course on agricultural extension knowledge for farmers from Thuan Chau and Binh Thuan communes.

The trainees included members of the community agricultural extension groups; representatives of enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, farm owners, hamlet heads and mass organisations; as well as exemplary farming households from Thuan Chau and Binh Thuan communes.

Staff from the Centre for Agricultural Extension and Digital Transformation instruct participants in making microbial inoculants from indigenous microorganisms 4 (IMO4).

During the training, participants were provided with knowledge on agricultural development and agricultural extension orientations for the 2026–2030 period; the application of circular agriculture to improve efficiency and increase income in agricultural production; sustainable coffee cultivation techniques adapted to climate change; compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and requirements on traceability and product quality; as well as hands-on field practice in coffee cultivation techniques and coffee production model management./.
