14th traditional sports festival of schools held

The youth union of the provincial agencies and enterprises’ bloc held the 14th traditional sports festival of schools at the Son La College of Technology on December 1.

The organising board presents flags to teams participating in the sports festival.

The event attracted the participation of over 200 students the Son La High School for the Gifted, the provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, the provincial Continuing Education Centre, and the Son La College of Technology, competing in such sports as tug of war, group rope jumping, friendship wheel, and blindfolded duck catching.

The athletes donated exciting matches, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the public, youth union members and students. At the end of the festival, the organising board awarded the first prize to the provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, the second to the Son La College of Technology, and the third to the Son La High School for the Gifted and the provincial Continuing Education Centre.

This was an opportunity for youth union members from different schools to exchange with and learn from each other, practice physical training, strengthen solidarity, and improve life skills and group activities.
