The opening ceremony was attended by leaders of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of neighbouring communes, along with a large number of local residents and armed forces.

The ceremony took place in a vibrant atmosphere, with nearly 1,000 participants from 18 groups representing agencies, units, schools, villages, and residential areas joining a parade to showcase their strength, along with traditional activities such as the torch relay, procession, and mass art performances.

A total of 1,000 athletes compete in various events, including football, athletics, badminton, Taekwondo, and traditional sports such as stick pushing, tug of war, crossbow shooting, con (cloth ball) throwing, and tu lu. Immediately after the opening ceremony, athletes began competitions in athletics.
The festival is expected to conclude and award medals to winners by the end of May 2026.
