Son La students won eight gold, six silver and four bronze medals to claim the second place in the medal tally of the first National Student Taekwondo Championship held from April 1-4 in the central province of Thua Thien Hue. The championship was jointly organised by the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, the Vietnam Student Sports Association, the Vietnam University and Professional Sports Association, and the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien-Hue province.

Sports movement in Son La province has thrived in recent years, reflected through the strong development of mass sports and positive achievements of high-performance sports.

Son La province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Department of Education and Training organised the closing ceremony of the 14th Son La Traditional Student Athletics Competition on April 1.
