Son La athlete Bac Thi Khiem win Taekwondo bronze medal at ASIAD 19

Bac Thi Khiem from Son La province won a bronze medal in Taekwondo at the 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19) in China’s Hangzhou city on September 27.

Previously, Khiem defeated her rivals from the Philippines and the Republic of Korea, a country considered the cradle of Taekwondo, to enter the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, she had a fierce competition with her opponent, Song Jie from the host country China, and lost 0-2, receiving the bronze medal.

With this achievement, Khiem is the first athlete from Son La province to win an ASIAD medal.
