ASIAD 19: Bac Thi Khiem, teammates win bronze medal in taekwondo

Vietnam’s mixed gender taekwondo team on September 25 secured a bronze medal in the kyorugi (combat) event at the ongoing 19th Asian Games (ASIAD) in Hangzhou, China.

 The Vietnamese mixed gender taekwondo team compete in the kyorugi (combat) event.

The team saw the participation of Bac Thi Khiem from Son La province, and her teammates – Pham Ngoc Cham, Ly Hong Phuc and Pham Minh Bao Kha.

They lost 18-88 to their Chinese rivals and got the bronze medal. This was the second bronze medal earned by the Vietnamese taekwondo team to date, with the first by Tran Ho Duy in the men’s individual poomsae category.

Khiem will compete in the 67kg individual kyorugi category on September 27./.
