The event was attended by Vi Duc Tho, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and standing vice chairman of the provincial People’s Council; leaders of Phu Yen commune; representatives from the provincial Department of Public Security; and representatives of local agencies and schools, police and grassroots security forces, and large numbers of ethnic minority residents in the commune.

In recent years, the All-People National Security Protection Movement in Gia Phu has been implemented in a coordinated and effective manner. Since the beginning of this year, local agencies and units have organised five sessions on legal education and dissemination, reaching 320 participants, while publishing and sharing numerous articles and news reports on the movement across digital platforms and mass media.

The commune has also launched a mass mobilisation initiative entitled “Motorbike Washing for People Reintegrating into the Community,” to support public security and order. It has strengthened and maintained eight grassroots models aimed at ensuring grassroots security and public order.

Speaking at the event, Tho called on Gia Phu commune to further strengthen Party leadership and improve the effectiveness of local authorities’ management of security and public order, as well as the development of the All-People National Security Protection Movement.

He urged the commune to renew the content and methods of the movement to make it more practical and effective, with local residents placed at the centre and as key participants. He also called for strengthening the core role of the police and building a stronger grassroots force involved in protecting security and public order.

The official emphasised the need to mobilise the strength of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organisations, village elders, hamlet heads, respected community members and residents in building a strong people-based national security posture.
