Binh Thuan holds Agricultural Products, Culture and Tourism Festival 2026

The People’s Committee of Binh Thuan commune has held its Agricultural Products, Culture and Tourism Festival 2026 from October 15 to 18, featuring a wide range of cultural, sport and experiential activities that attract large numbers of local residents and visitors. The event helps promote local farm produce, showcase the cultural identities of ethnic groups, and preserve and promote traditional cultural values associated with experiential tourism development.

At the festival, 34 booths showcase agricultural products and traditional handicrafts, with the participation of hamlets and cooperatives in Binh Thuan, Muong Khieng, Muoi Noi and Quynh Nhai communes. The displays feature local specialties, agricultural tools, handicrafts and ethnic cultural spaces, providing opportunities for residents to promote their products, interact and exchange production experience.

In addition, a cultural camp competition and ethnic cuisine presentations recreate traditional ways of life, helping residents and visitors learn more about the customs and practices of local ethnic communities.

The Pha Din market offers a space for cultural exchange and the trading of traditional agricultural products. Residents and visitors took part in activities reflecting the daily lives of ethnic communities in mountainous areas, notably the process of steaming glutinous rice and pounding it to make banh day (round glutinous rice cakes), from preparation to shaping the finished product. These hands-on experiences help visitors gain a deeper understanding of traditional food preparation and the distinctive culinary culture of the mountainous areas.

A highlight of the festival was the reenactment of the La Ha ethnic group’s Lang Pang A Festival, also known as the thanksgiving ceremony. This traditional ritual expresses gratitude to ancestors, those who founded villages and hamlets, and deities according to folk beliefs.

Alongside the cultural activities, the festival featured a walking event to discover Pha Din, attracting more than 200 participants who are officials, civil servants and public employees from local agencies, organisations and schools. Covering a 1-km route across natural terrain, the event provided an opportunity to improve physical fitness and promote sports, while encouraging participants to explore the local landscape and learn about the historical values associated with the Pha Din area.
