At the inauguration ceremony of the entrance gate of Cha May hamlet, Long He commune.
Attending the ceremony were Thao Xuan Sung, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union, and former Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee; Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

Cha May hamlet is home to 104 households, mainly Mong ethnic people who have lived in the area for generations. The community is known for its strong solidarity, diligence, and preservation of many traditional customs and cultural practices. In recent years, the hamlet has received continued support and attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels in socio-economic development, new-style rural development, and sustainable poverty reduction.

Under the new-style rural development programme, Cha May hamlet constructed two entrance gates with a total investment of more than 447 million VND (16,961 USD). Local residents contributed 87 million VND, while more than 360 million VND was mobilised from organisations, individuals, officials, and Party members.

The completed gates create a highlight for the rural landscape and contribute to a cleaner, more spacious, and more attractive hamlet appearance. The project also demonstrates the solidarity and determination of local officials, Party members, and residents in implementing the new-style rural development movement, while helping promote the image of Cha May hamlet and the revolutionary homeland of Long He.
