In the renewal period, with the promotion of industrialisation, modernisation, and international integration, the sector has become a key economic sector as well as a driving force and support pillar for other economic and service sectors, making important contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.
The sector continues to advise the provincial authorities on promoting renewable energy development and agricultural product processing industries associated with raw material areas, gradually increasing the value of products such as tea, coffee, mango, longan, and son tra (hawthorn).
It has also strengthened connections and guided enterprises in the use of e-commerce; enhanced preservation, processing, and export of agricultural products; protected consumer rights; and effectively combated smuggling and trade fraud.

Regarding energy development, the sector should continue giving advice on the effective implementation of the National Power Development Plan VIII, while proactively removing difficulties and obstacles for renewable energy projects, creating momentum for the province’s industrial breakthrough and aiming for double-digit growth targets.
