Moc Chau Farm People's Credit Fund celebrates 30th founding anniversary

The Moc Chau Farm People's Credit Fund held a ceremony in Thao Nguyen ward on August 1 to celebrate its 30th founding anniversary (August 1, 1996 – 2026).

The ceremony was attended by Ha Trung Chien, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders; representatives of the Vietnam Cooperative Bank, the Vietnam Association of People's Credit Funds, and the State Bank of Vietnam – Region 3; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies as well as communes and wards in the Moc Chau area; and representatives of several banks and people's credit funds from both within and outside the province.

Over the past 30 years of development, the fund has overcome numerous challenges and achieved effective and sustainable operations in the financial sector. Its management and staff have continuously enhanced their professional expertise while fostering solidarity, responsibility, and customer-oriented service.

From a modest institution at its establishment, the fund has grown into a strong and reputable financial organization with total operating capital of more than 1.5 trillion VND (57 million USD), outstanding loans exceeding 1.3 trillion VND, charter capital of 45 billion VND, equity capital of 109 billion VND, and a membership of more than 10,000.

The fund has consistently remained committed to serving the interests of its members. Its credit resources have been focused on supporting production and business activities, agricultural and rural development, and providing financial access for households, cooperatives, and small enterprises to expand production, create jobs, increase incomes, and improve local living standards.

In addition to its core business activities, the fund has actively participated in social welfare programmes both within and beyond its service area. It has contributed billions of VND in partnership with local authorities to build 35 "Great Unity" houses, presented gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs, and people with meritorious service; supported COVID-19 prevention and control efforts; and awarded scholarships to more than 1,000 disadvantaged students with outstanding academic achievements.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Chien congratulated and commended the outstanding achievements of the Moc Chau Farm People's Credit Fund over the past three decades. He encouraged the fund to continue operating safely, efficiently, and sustainably by strengthening corporate governance, enhancing risk management, and building a stable, transparent, and professional institution.

He also emphasised the importance of prioritising credit resources for agriculture, rural development, the cooperative economy, production households, and small and medium-sized enterprises, thereby unlocking social resources and creating momentum for the province's economic growth.
