Attending the launching ceremony were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Ngoc Hau, who is head of the provincial council for legal dissemination and education coordination and head of the contest organising board, along with members of the council. The event was held online and connected to communes and wards across the province.
The online quiz will be held in the form of weekly online multiple-choice tests on the province’s portal at https://sonla.gov.vn; the Son La legal dissemination and education website at https://pbgdpl.sonla.gov.vn/; and the provincial Department of Justice’s website at https://sotuphap.sonla.gov.vn/. It will be held over three weeks from September 7 to 25, with each weekly test opening at 7:30 on Monday and closing at 17:30 on Friday.
Participants will answer 30 multiple-choice questions on computers or Internet-connected mobile devices using a pre-designed question bank. The quiz focuses on legal regulations on state secrets protection, including the 2025 Law on Protection of State Secrets and documents guiding its implementation.
Speaking at the event, Hau called on provincial departments, agencies, sectors, organisations and People’s Committees of communes and wards to strengthen leadership and direction, and consider participation in the contest an important part of legal dissemination and education as well as state secrets protection efforts.
They were requested to facilitate the participation of officials, civil servants, public employees, workers and residents, ensuring that the contest is substantive, honest and free from formalism.
He urged the provincial Department of Justice to coordinate efforts to ensure that the quiz system operates stably and securely in an open and transparent manner; regularly monitor the system, provide guidance and address difficulties, compile results, and promptly commend collectives and individuals that effectively implement the contest.
Information and communications agencies, legal reporters and disseminators were urged to step up publicity before, during and after the contest, while the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organisations, educational institutions and businesses were also encouraged to mobilise their members, workers, teachers, students and residents to participate actively in the contest with a sense of voluntariness, honesty and responsibility.
