Party official visits press agencies ahead of Tet

In 2024, Son La Newspaper and Son La Radio and Television Station effectively and promptly popularized the province’s political tasks and covered various aspects of social life, especially the work of building the Party, consolidating the political system, and implementing projects initiated by the provincial Party Committee across different sectors. They also promoted the province’s image, potential, investment attraction policies, and agricultural products to people in and outside the locality.

Throughout the year, both units actively accelerated digital transformation, building a converged multimedia newsroom, applying artificial intelligence in production, and utilizing social media platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, YouTube, and TikTok to deliver information to readers, serving diverse audiences. According to the Journalism Department under the Ministry of Information and Communications, Son La Newspaper and Son La Radio and Television Station achieved a good level of digital transformation in journalism in 2024.

Thao acknowledged and praised the efforts and results achieved by both units in the past year in their information tasks. She also encouraged them to continue implementing the directions and instructions of the central and provincial authorities on information work.

The focus should be on improving the quality and effectiveness of the province’s activities in various publications and media forms, she said, adding they should actively continue digital transformation in journalism, innovate the content and format of the newspaper, and enhance the quality of news and entertainment programmes, better meeting the political tasks and information needs of the people.
