At the construction sites, Chairman Viet heard reports on construction progress, disbursement of investment capital, mobilisation of workers, supply of materials, and difficulties and obstacles encountered during implementation.

According to the investors, construction at the Xuan Nha Primary and Secondary Boarding School has reached about 76%, up 2 percentage points from the previous week. The school in Chieng Son commune is about 78% complete, up 3 percentage points, while the school in Long Sap commune has reached about 73%, up 5 percentage points from the previous week.

Classroom buildings, dormitories, canteens and supporting facilities are being constructed simultaneously, with efforts underway to complete the projects as scheduled and soon ensure adequate learning and living conditions for students in border areas.

After inspecting the sites, Chairman Viet stressed that project investors, contractors and relevant units must clearly define their responsibilities and mobilise all available resources to complete the projects on schedule, while ensuring quality, technical standards and aesthetics appropriate to educational facilities in border areas.

He requested contractors to mobilise maximum personnel, machinery and equipment, increase working hours and shifts, and organise construction teams in a scientific and flexible manner to overcome difficulties and complete the projects before August 30.

He also called for comprehensive preparations for students’ learning, accommodation, meals and daily activities, as well as inspections and trial operation of all facilities before they are put into use. At the same time, specific plans should be developed for the inauguration ceremonies and the opening of the new school year.

The schools must be ready to welcome students, ensuring that the facilities soon become fully operational and provide better learning and training environments for children from ethnic minority communities in border areas./.
