The delegation inspected the Song Ma 5 Solar Power Plant project; visited the Nam Cong 3A Hydropower Plant in Nam Pu hamlet, Huoi Mot commune; and checked the construction of Phieng Pe Bridge crossing the Ma River in Pe Tien hamlet, Chieng So commune and a permanent bridge in Tay Ho hamlet, Song Ma commune.

The Song Ma 5 Solar Power Plant is invested by 268268 Co., Ltd., with a capacity of 6 MW, a total investment of 119 billion VND (4.57 million USD), and a land area of ​​63,900 sq.m. The project has an average annual power output of approximately 9.946 million kWh and integrates a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a minimum capacity of 10%. The project is currently in the pre-investment phase, with operations and power generation expected to commence in the second quarter of 2028.

The Nam Cong 3A Hydropower Plant in Huoi Mot commune has a capacity of 4.5 MW and a total investment of 162.2 billion VND. It has been operational since late 2022. Its power output increased from 7.4 million kWh in 2023 to 13.2 million kWh in 2024 and 15.29 million kWh in 2025, and is estimated at 12.6 million kWh this year.

The Phieng Pe Bridge project has a total investment of over 55.8 billion VND, connecting National Highway 12 with Provincial Road 113. To date, site clearance has been completed, and over 60% of the construction volume has been finished; the project aims for completion and commissioning before December 31, 2026.

The permanent bridge project in the former Tay Ho hamlet, Na Nghiu commune, Song Ma district (now Canh Kien hamlet, Song Ma commune) has a total investment of nearly 17 billion VND. Construction of the river-crossing span and the bridge approach roads, totaling over 283m in length, is now basically complete. As of September 17, over 11.6 billion VND had been disbursed. The construction unit is currently finalising traffic safety systems and intersections with National Highway 12 and Provincial Road 113, with completion expected in October 2026.

Following the inspections, Cua urged project owners, construction units, departments, agencies, and local authorities to coordinate in promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles, particularly regarding site clearance. 

Contractors were instructed to concentrate manpower and machinery, take advantage of favourable weather to accelerate progress, ensure quality and occupational safety, and bring the projects into operation soon to maximise investment efficiency.
