Nghiem and his entourage visited Phan Van Phung, a 95-year-old war invalid with a 65% disability rating residing in Residential Area 14, To Hieu ward. Phung joined the revolutionary movement in 1945 and fought on the southern battlefield during the resistance war. He was awarded the First-Class Anti-US Resistance Oder and the 75-year Party membership badge. 

The delegation also visited Vuong Thi Ngoc Yen, 94, of Residential Area 3, To Hieu ward, the wife of pre-August Revolution cadre Tran Binh and the mother of martyr Tran Manh Hop, who sacrificed his life during the resistance war against the US imperialists.

The provincial Party Committee Secretary and the delegation visited and presented gifts to Nguyen Van Tan, a pre-August Revolution cadre living in Residential Area 1, To Hieu ward. He joined revolutionary activities in 1945 and was awarded the Third-Class Resistance Order, along with many other noble honours from the Party and the State, and the 78-year Party membership badge. 

They also visited and extended encouragement to Lu Van Noi, a sick veteran with a 64% disability rating living in Phieng Panh hamlet, Chieng An ward, who had fought and carried out international duties in Laos.

At the families, Secretary Nghiem inquired about their health and daily lives, expressing profound gratitude and appreciation for the tremendous contributions and sacrifices made by war invalids, sick veterans, revolutionary contributors, and the families of fallen soldiers. 

He expressed his hope that these families would continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, educate younger generations to preserve and promote the homeland's noble values, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, thereby contributing to the province's development.

The provincial Party leader also urged local Party committees and authorities to continue implementing fully and promptly the preferential policies for people who rendered meritorious service to the revolution. He emphasised the importance of regularly caring for both the material and spiritual well-being of policy beneficiary families, ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries receive the Party's and the State's full support./.
