The meeting was attended by permanent members of the provincial Party Committee, and representatives of departments under the Party Central Committee’s boards, among other officials. 

At the meeting, the Office of the provincial Party Committee reported on comments on the draft working regulations of the 16th Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term (amended and supplemented);  the draft working regulations of the Party Committee's Standing Board on amendments and supplements to the identification codes of provincial Party agencies on the computer network; and the draft report on the leadership and direction of the Party Committee over the first nine months of 2026 and key tasks for the fourth quarter.

The Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee reported on the implementation of the six-month growth scenario, estimated performance for the first nine months and the full year of 2026; the implementation of the public investment plan during the first nine months and tasks and solutions for the fourth quarter; the implementation of the Hoa Binh–Moc Chau expressway project - the section running through the province; and the implementation of projects to build primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes in September, among other matters.

The Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee also presented reports on feedback on proposals seeking investment policy and investor approvals for the Nam Chan Hydropower Project, Muong La 3 Solar Power Project and Muong Bang Hydropower Project; preparations for the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026; the policy on developing Vietnamese ginseng in Son La through 2030, with a vision to 2045; approval of the draft decision promulgating regulations on the unified management of external relations activities within the province’s political system; and the draft cooperation agreement between Son La and Thanh Hoa, Dien Bien and Phu Tho provinces for the 2026–2030 period.

The supervision delegations established under Decision No. 429-QD/TU, dated July 30, 2026, of the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board reported on the compilation of comments on the draft supervision conclusion notice regarding the leadership and direction in implementing five regulations of the Politburo on power control and the prevention and combating of corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena, as well as the implementation of recommendations and conclusions from inspections, supervision, audits and auditing activities concerning Party committees.

In his concluding remarks, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee assigned the committee's Office to compile comments from members of the Standing Board and advise on the preparation of a draft report on the leadership and direction in implementing tasks during the first nine months and key tasks for the fourth quarter for submission to the Party Committee.
The Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee was tasked with directing the People’s Committee to focus intensively on achieving growth targets in the remaining months of 2026, identifying this as a key task, with heads of agencies and units held responsible for the implementation of assigned targets and tasks.

It was also instructed to take drastic and coordinated measures to accelerate project implementation, disbursement of public investment capital and the development of a land database; urgently complete projects to build primary and secondary boarding schools; and focus on fully resolving projects facing difficulties and prolonged backlogs. It should continue reviewing detailed plans to ensure that the second Son La Coffee Festival is held safely, practically, economically and effectively./.
