Attending the event were Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; among others.
At the meeting, the Standing Board discussed and gave opinions on submissions presented by the Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee regarding adjustments to the investment policy for the Heritage Village ecotourism and resort project; the policy to develop a project on economic development in border areas of Son La province for the 2026–2030 and 2030–2035 periods; the request for in-principle approval of the classification results of commune-level administrative units in the province; approval of the plan for the use of increased revenues and the remaining expenditure estimates of the provincial budget for 2025; and the proposal for approving the investment policy and the investor for the buoy and plastic products manufacturing plant project in Chieng Lao commune.
The meeting also provided opinions on the draft Action Programme of the provincial Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 16th provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term; a report on the implementation of the task of building 13 primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes across the province; and the progress of the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway project, specifically the section passing through Son La.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee also discussed and gave opinions on the contents to be submitted to the first thematic session of the 16th provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term; a report summarising feedback on the draft Regulation of the provincial Party Committee on decentralisation, management, and use of assets at Party agencies and public non-business units; and the draft project on developing the Son La provincial School of Politics to maintain Level 1 standards and strive to achieve Level 2 standards in the 2026–2030 period.
Concluding the meeting, Secretary Nghiem assigned the Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee to direct the provincial People’s Committee to incorporate feedback and focus on developing proposals and implementing projects in accordance with regulations, ensuring practicality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the province’s actual conditions and development orientations.
He also requested compliance with procedures for seeking opinions from relevant ministries, sectors, agencies, units, and localities, and reporting to the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee in line with working regulations.
He urged a review and finalisation of contents, and the consideration and decision on the classification of commune-level administrative units in the province in accordance with regulations and in line with the specific conditions of each commune and ward.
The provincial Party leader also called for strong, coordinated measures to accelerate the construction progress of projects across the province.
