Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board decides on matters within authority

Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, on June 30 chaired a meeting of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board to review and decide on several matters within its authority.

Attending the meeting were Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council; Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; among others.

During the meeting, participants discussed and provided comments on the draft report on the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committee during the first half of 2026 and key tasks for the second half. They also reviewed the implementation of the 2026 public investment plan during the first six months and discussed key tasks and solutions for the remainder of the year.

The provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board also discussed and commented on several proposals submitted by the Party Committee of the provincial People's Committee, including the implementation of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway project (Son La section); the construction of inter-level boarding schools in the province's border communes; progress in implementing major projects and measures to address existing difficulties and obstacles; preparations for activities commemorating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2026); and the draft plan of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board for implementing Politburo Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated May 19, 2026 on carrying out the foreign policy adopted by the 14th National Party Congress.

Addressing the meeting, Secretary Nghiem assigned the Office of the provincial Party Committee to incorporate comments from members of the Standing Board and finalise the draft reports of the provincial Party Committee. The Party Committee of the provincial People's Committee was tasked with directing the provincial People's Committee to review and complete the report on the implementation of the public investment plan during the first six months of the year, as well as the tasks and solutions for the remaining of 2026. 

It was also instructed to continue directing the coordinated and effective implementation of measures to ensure the timely construction of the inter-level boarding schools in the border communes and the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway’s section passing through Son La province. 

In addition, it was directed to strengthen inspection, supervision, and quality control of construction works, ensure occupational safety, and prevent any loss or waste of state funds and assets.

The Party Committees of the provincial People's Committee and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee were also assigned to issue implementation plans and organise activities commemorating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day in a meaningful, practical, solemn, and effective manner.
