The delegation visited and extended encouragement and gifts to the families of wounded and sick veterans, including Dinh Van Cang of Tien Phong hamlet, Dinh Van Tu of Tuong Thuong Village, Dinh Viet E of Thong Nhat hamlet, and Dinh Van Tien of Chan hamlet.
At the families, Tho affirmed that the Party, the State, and the people always remember with gratitude the contributions and sacrifices made by fallen heroes, wounded and sick veterans, and other people who rendered meritorious service to the revolution. He expressed his hope that the families would continue to uphold their revolutionary traditions and encourage younger generations to study and work diligently, contributing to the development of their hometown.
He also urged local Party committees and authorities to continue fully and promptly implementing policies for people with meritorious service, while paying close attention to improving the material and spiritual well-being of policy beneficiary families, thereby upholding Vietnam's tradition of "When drinking water, remembering its source" - honouring those who have made sacrifices for the nation.
