Provincial Youth Union offers incense at President Ho Chi Minh Temple at Tay Bac Square

In commemoration of the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2026) and the 85th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union (May 15, 1941 – 2026), the Standing Committee of the Son La provincial Youth Union and the provincial children’s union on May 17 organised an incense offering ceremony at the President Ho Chi Minh Temple at Tay Bac Square.

In a solemn atmosphere, members of the Standing Committee of the provincial Youth Union, the provincial children’s union, children’s union leaders, along with 80 outstanding children’s union members, teenagers, and children from primary and secondary schools across the province, respectfully offered incense and expressed their deep gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh.

Before the spirit of Uncle Ho, Son La’s children pledged to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, maintain absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, actively study and improve themselves, and faithfully follow the “Five Teachings of Uncle Ho.” They also committed to strengthening solidarity, caring for and supporting one another, contributing to a healthier school and social environment, and striving to become good children and good students, worthy of being children of Uncle Ho.

    Son La province has 14 martyrs cemeteries, seven of which contain 579 graves of fallen soldiers whose identities have yet to be determined. As part of the “500-day-and-night campaign to accelerate the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains,” the province has completed DNA sampling for identification purposes at all seven cemeteries.
