The province is home to more than 4,900 operating enterprises, branches and representative offices employing about 60,295 workers. It also maintains 835 cooperatives and six cooperative unions, with more than 9,500 people engaged in production and business activities.
The programme, running from May 1 to May 31, takes the theme of “Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and hygiene in the digital era.”
The provincial People’s Committee called on authorities at all levels, businesses and workers across the province to uphold the sense of responsibility and take collective action, treating occupational safety and hygiene as a regular, long-term task to help protect workers’ health, support sustainable business and production activities, and promote local socio-economic development.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, called on departments, agencies, local authorities and organisations to continue thoroughly implementing the Party’s directives and the State’s policies and laws on occupational safety and hygiene, while safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
He also urged labourers to proactively improve compliance with labour safety regulations, rules and procedures, actively enhance professional and safety skills, and promote emulation movements for productivity and innovation, contributing to the building of a stronger workplace safety culture.
At the event, delegates pressed the button to officially launch the programme and signed commitments to implement occupational safety and hygiene measures and improve workers’ welfare.

On the occasion, the People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to five collectives and one individual for outstanding performance in occupational safety and hygiene work in 2025.
The Federation of Labour also provided 230 million VND (8,732 USD) to support the construction and repair of homes for needy workers, and presented 30 gift packages worth a combined 75 million VND to trade union members and workers facing difficult circumstances.
