Son La creates favourable conditions for Dream Plastic Mai Son Factory project

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, on June 30 chaired a working session with provincial departments and agencies, and the People's Committee of Chieng Mung commune to review the progress of the Dream Plastic Mai Son Factory project.

Attending the meeting were Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and head of the provincial Party Committee's Organisation Board; Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, the provincial Industrial Parks Authority and Chieng Mung commune.

Invested by Dream Plastic Mai Son Co., Ltd, the project received investment policy and investor approvals from the provincial Industrial Parks Authority under Decision No. 744/QD-BQL dated August 13, 2025, which were subsequently amended under Decision No. 230/QD-BQL dated February 28, 2026.

The project aims to manufacture and process children's toys and plastic products on a site covering 1.17 hectares in Mai Son Industrial Park, with a designed production capacity of 20 million products per year. The total registered investment capital is 7 million USD. The factory is expected to be put into operation in the second quarter of 2027. 

On January 29, 2026, the People's Committee of Chieng Mung commune granted the land use rights certificate and the certificate of ownership of assets attached to land to the investor.

After hearing reports and opinions from relevant agencies, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Viet emphasised that the Dream Plastic Mai Son Factory project is in line with the province's industrial development orientation. Once operational, it is expected to create jobs for local workers, increase provincial budget revenues, and contribute to local economic restructuring.

Son La province remains committed to accompanying and supporting businesses and will continue creating the most favourable conditions to ensure that investment projects, including the Dream Plastic Mai Son Factory, are implemented successfully and on schedule.
