After one year of operation following the merger of Son La Newspaper and Son La Radio-Television Station, Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television has gradually consolidated its organisational structure, renewed its operating methods, and developed a converged newsroom model, laying the foundation for a more professional, modern and multi-platform media agency.
In response to the evolving demands of journalism in the digital era, the agency’s board of directors directed the development of the SNEWS brand identity to unify its image, enhance professionalism, and reinforce its role as the province’s leading media outlet. The move marks an important shift from a traditional operating model to a converged newsroom driven by digital transformation, with the aim of building a modern, multi-platform communications ecosystem.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Truong Chinh, Director of Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television, said the launch of the SNEWS brand marked a new chapter for the agency in its journey of renewal, integration and development, while symbolising its aspiration to build a modern, professional, and converged newsroom in the digital era.
He said the agency is committed to becoming a leading local media outlet in the digital transformation process, a standout in the northwestern press landscape, and a trusted bridge of official information linking Son La with the rest of the country.
From July 1, 2026, SNEWS will serve as the unified brand identity of Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television across all journalistic formats and digital media platforms.
