Son La signs agreement for new urban development project in Van Son

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, on August 6 presided over the signing ceremony for a contract on the development of a new urban area adjacent to a key tourism centre in Van Son ward.

The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Dao Tai Tue, Director of the provincial Department of Construction; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; representatives of the Van Son ward People's Committee and the project investor.

The project will be developed by Hoang Duong Construction Investment JSC on a site covering about 47.68 hectares, with total investment of more than 2.07 trillion VND (78.96 million USD).

The development includes a complete package of transport, water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment, electricity distribution, public lighting, social infrastructure and service facilities, along with around 1,015 residential land plots. The project is intended to create a new urban area that integrates with the surrounding natural landscape while supporting infrastructure development for the Moc Chau National Tourism Area.

A representative of the investor said the company pledges to comply with all legal requirements, mobilise sufficient resources to implement the project on schedule, and ensure construction quality and investment efficiency.

The project will be developed in line with sustainable development principles, balancing economic growth with environmental protection while promoting the value of local natural resources to support socio-economic development and improve living standards.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman Viet said Son La province remains committed to supporting the investor and creating favourable conditions for project implementation. He called on provincial departments, agencies and local authorities to strengthen coordination, promptly resolve obstacles and avoid delays caused by administrative procedures. 

He also urged the investor to work closely with relevant authorities, leverage its experience and capabilities, and mobilise adequate resources to ensure the project is delivered on schedule, meets quality standards and complies with legal requirements, contributing to the completion of infrastructure for the Moc Chau National Tourism Area and the province's socio-economic development./.
