The Long Sap International Border Gate Border Guard Station is currently responsible for managing a border section with 17 national boundary markers. The area comprises 22 hamlets, including nine located along the border.

Over the past years, officers and soldiers have made continuous efforts to overcome difficulties, safeguard the national frontier, and promptly handle incidents to prevent the emergence of security hotspots in the area. At the same time, in coordination with local Party committees and authorities, they have supported residents in developing the local economy, contributing to the establishment of a people-based border defence posture and firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.

At present, Phase I of the project has completed all major components in line with the approved objectives, meeting operational requirements, and is preparing for Phase II investment. Once completed, the project is expected to contribute to developing the Long Sap International Border Gate area into a centre for border trade, services, and tourism, while also building a border line of peace and development.

He also requested that relevant units continue to promote unity, enhance vigilance, proactively monitor the situation, maintain presence in the area, and strengthen efforts in crime prevention and control, particularly drug-related crimes and smuggling, in order to ensure security and order in the border region.

He called for continued completion of the infrastructure of the Long Sap International Border Gate, contributing to socio-economic development while firmly safeguarding the national border and frontier areas of the Fatherland.
