Son La, Vietnam Post sign cooperation agreement for 2026–2030

The Son La provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Post Corporation on July 28 held a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement for the 2026–2030 period.

Attending the signing ceremony were Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Ha Trung Chien, member of the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board and Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; along with representatives of provincial departments, agencies, sectors, and related enterprises.

Representing Vietnam Post were Chairman of the Members' Council Nguyen Truong Giang and Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Hai.

Representatives of the Son La provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Post sign the cooperation agreement for the 2026–2030 period.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in developing postal infrastructure, digital transformation and e-commerce; and implementing social welfare payment services, and administrative reform across Son La province during the 2026–2030 period.

The cooperation agreement consists of five articles detailing its objectives, guiding principles, mechanisms, cooperation methods and areas, the responsibilities of each party, and provisions for implementation.

The partnership will focus on the delivery of public administrative and public financial services; the provision of distribution and communications services; support for the marketing and distribution of local agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items; and the development of postal infrastructure and networks.

Strengthening cooperation between the provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Post is intended to maximise the strengths and advantages of both parties in support of the province's socio-economic development. The partnership will accelerate the application of information technology and digital transformation in the delivery of public services, contributing to the development of digital government, the digital economy, and the digital society while improving the quality of public services.

At the same time, the cooperation will promote the distribution of OCOP products and local agricultural specialties, expand trade connectivity in remote, mountainous, and border areas, and better services for both residents and businesses.

At the ceremony, the Son La provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Post signed a cooperation agreement for the 2026–2030 period. Son La Post and Phuc Sinh Son La JSC also inked a cooperation agreement to bring the company's coffee products to Vietnam Post's e-commerce platforms.
