A total of 288 teachers from 75 communes and wards, as well as ethnic minority boarding secondary and high schools across the province, are taking part in the contest.
All participants are required to have achieved at least a “good” rating under the professional standards for the 2023–2024 academic year and to have been recognised as outstanding teachers at the district level in at least one of the two most recent academic years.
The March 19-31 contest covers 11 subjects: Mathematics, Literature, English, History and Geography, Natural Sciences, Civic Education, Technology, Informatics, Physical Education, and Arts.
Each participating teacher will compete in two components: presenting a report on measures to improve teaching quality and delivering a demonstration lesson in accordance with the secondary school curriculum.
The contest provides an opportunity for secondary school teachers across the province to connect, exchange expertise, and share professional teaching experience.
It also serves as a driving force for them to strive for self-improvement, meet the demands of educational reform, enhance teaching quality, and further promote emulation movements for effective teaching and learning in schools.
