"Colours of the Moc Chau Plateau" photo exhibition opens

As part of the activities during Moc Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2025, Thao Nguyen ward held the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition, entitled “Colours of the Moc Chau Plateau,” and the awards ceremony for the “Check-in Thao Nguyen” photo contest at the Moc Chau Pedestrian Street and Night Market on the evening of August 30.

Attending the event was Hoang Van Chat, former Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee.

The photo exhibition features 24 photo sets and individual works by photographers and journalists, divided into two main sections.

Section 1 showcases festival scenes, customs, and traditional cultural traits of ethnic groups such as the Thai, Hmong, and Dao. It also highlights the natural landscapes of the Moc Chau National Tourism Area, giving visitors a vivid sense of the region’s breathtaking beauty and rich culture.

Section 2 displays outstanding achievements in tourism development across the Moc Chau plateau. The photographs reflect the area's green and sustainable tourism orientation, demonstrating the efforts of communes and wards within the National Tourism Area and affirming Moc Chau’s status as a leading global nature destination recognised over consecutive years. The exhibition will remain open throughout the Moc Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2025.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Thao Nguyen ward awarded one first, one second, 20 third, and six special prizes to participants of the “Check-in Thao Nguyen” contest. The contest aims to honour and promote the majestic natural beauty, culture, and unique values of Thao Nguyen ward to both domestic and international visitors.
