More than 1.4 million students supported with education expenses

Using funds from the National Target Programme for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the 2021–2025 period, Son La province has supported over 1.4 million students with tuition fee exemptions, reductions, and learning cost assistance. The total funding exceeds 4 trillion VND (152.9 million USD), contributing to higher school enrollment rates and ensuring children's right to education.

Currently, the rate of primary school students attending school at the correct age reaches 99.8%, while the secondary school attendance stands at 98.9%. 

The province has invested in constructing eight new classrooms and supported the renovation and upgrading of facilities at three colleges to improve vocational training for poor and near-poor workers.
