Over 1,000 students, residents watch “Red Rain”

The Youth Union of To Hieu ward on December 3 organised a free screening of the film “Red Rain” at the ward’s Convention Centre, attracting more than 1,000 students and local residents.

Produced by the People’s Army Cinema, “Red Rain” is a 124-minute film that recreates the heroic 81-day-and-night battle to defend Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. Inspired by true stories, the film portrays the courage and sacrifices of young soldiers in their twenties, while conveying a profound message about comradeship, patriotism, and the aspiration for national reunification.

The screening attracts a large number of students in the ward.

The ward Youth Union arranged three screenings from 2:00 p.m. to 4:10 p.m., 4:15 p.m. to 6:25 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. to 8:35 p.m., ensuring that a large number of residents and students could watch the film. The screenings contribute to educating younger generations about revolutionary traditions and helping the community better appreciate the value of today’s peace.

On this occasion, the ward Youth Union also launched a donation drive to support flood-affected residents in central Vietnam, promoting the spirit of mutual support and compassion within the community.
