Son La art programme celebrates reunification anniversary

The Son La provincial Centre for Culture and Sports, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Chieng Coi ward, staged a special art programme marking the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975–2026) and the 140th International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886–2026) on the evening of April 25 at Hoang Quoc Viet pedestrian street.

The programme was elaborately staged in two parts, featuring 12 standout song, dance and music performances. It recreated a heroic chapter of the nation, underscored confidence in the Communist Party of Vietnam, praised the homeland, and conveyed belief in an era of renewal and development.

A range of emotionally charged performances left a deep impression on the audience, spanning song, dance and instrumental pieces that celebrated the nation’s past and looked ahead to a new era of development.

The programme brought a vibrant and emotionally rich artistic space to the pedestrian street, drawing large crowds of residents to watch and cheer, creating a festive atmosphere ahead of the national holiday, while helping spread the homeland’s historical values and stir patriotism and national pride.
