Son La maintains nearly 2,900 women-led environmental sanitation models

Son La province now has nearly 2,900 women-led environmental sanitation models. In August, support was provided to 127 households to access clean water and 23 households to build hygienic latrines.

Regular community clean-up campaigns were organised, focusing on hamlet roads and alleys, contributing to raising environmental awareness among women members and joining hands with local authorities in building new-style rural areas and civilised urban communities.

To continue promoting the role of women in environmental protection, the provincial Women's Union has directed grassroots branches to actively implement activities such as "Green Sunday", developing the "5 No’s, 3 Clean’s" model, and planting flower roads.
