Son La shines at 2nd National Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival 2025

The Son La art troupe won three A, four B, and one C prizes at the 2nd National Muong Ethnic Culture Festival 2025, which closed in Hanoi on November 24.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event brought together art troupes from five provinces with large Muong communities, creating a vibrant space for cultural exchange rich in identity.

During the three-day festival, the Son La art troupe actively participated in all activities, including the mass art festival; traditional costume performances; exhibitions and cultural promotion of the Muong ethnic group; demonstrations of traditional handicrafts; and performances featuring excerpts from festivals and distinctive cultural rituals of the Muong people.

Son La’s performances were highly praised for their content quality, artistic value, thorough preparation, strong sense of unity, and their vivid portrayal of traditional Muong cultural life.

At the closing ceremony, the Organising Committee presented 40 A, B and C prizes to outstanding performances.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presents the certificates of merit to units with outstanding achievements in coordinating the organisation of the festival.
