Son La shines with vibrant Muong colours at Mass Arts Festival

As part of the second Muong Ethnic Culture Day 2025 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo in Hanoi, the art troupe of Son La province participated in the Mass Arts Festival and showcased traditional Muong costumes on November 23.

The festival featured five delegations from Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Son La and Lao Cai provinces, and Hanoi capital city. With the theme “Echoes of the Muong land,” the Son La troupe presented a series of singing, dancing, and instrumental performances, vividly reflecting the cultural identity of the Northwestern region.

On stage, traditional Muong costumes, from everyday wear to wedding and festival attire, were showcased in a lively and delicate manner, clearly reflecting the customs, aesthetics, and distinctive cultural identity of the Muong people of Son La.

The vibrant colours, lively musical sounds, and graceful dances left a deep impression on audiences, contributing to the honouring of Muong culture in Son La and promoting the image of the ethnic group at the 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Day.
