Son La wins high prizes at “Sen Village Singing Festival”

An art troupe from Son La province participated in the “Sen Village Singing Festival” at the Traditional Arts Centre of Nghe An province from May 16 to 19 in commemoration of the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2025).

The People’s Committee of Nghe An province awarded certificates of merit to the delegations with outstanding achievements at the festival.

The festival gathered nearly 1,000 amateur performers from 30 art troupes representing provinces and cities across the country. The performances spanned a wide variety of genres and were meticulously staged, expressing deep admiration and affection for President Ho Chi Minh.

The Son La art troupe featured 25 performers and communicators from the provincial Centre for Culture and Cinema. With the theme "Son La Welcomes Uncle Ho," their performance included five acts: The Mountainous People Express Gratitude to the Party and Uncle Ho, The Mong Remember Uncle Ho, Thuan Chau – Where Uncle Visited, The Fairy Elder Playing the Khen, and Son La Welcomes Uncle Ho - Talks to Uncle Ho. These acts vividly portrayed the image of beloved President Ho Chi Minh in the hearts of the ethnic people of Son La and highlighted the rich cultural identity of the Northwestern region.

Son La's song and dance performance "Son La Welcomes Uncle Ho – Talks to Uncle Ho" wins a silver medal at the festival.

Son La's performance "The Mong Remember Uncle Ho" receives a silver medal at the festival.

As a result, the Son La troupe was honoured with a certificate of merit from the People’s Committee of Nghe An province; a certificate of recognition from the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries for one individual; one gold medal and three silver medals for their participating performances.
