Various activities held to celebrate International Museum Day

The provincial Museum and Library organised a wide range of exciting and attractive activities on May 15-16 to celebrate the International Museum Day (May 18).

At the provincial Convention Centre and Son La Prison special national relic site, the units organised a photo exhibition named "Simple and noble examples" to celebrate the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2025), and sum up the 10-year implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 on promoting the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

On this occasion, the provincial Museum and Library cooperated with schools in Son La city to hold many communication and promotion activities about history and cultural heritage, including creating a clip introducing the "Thai Xoe art" cultural heritage, promoting a photo book on "Thai Xoe dance" and the content of the learning city; and organising experiential activities to learn about local history and culture for students at the Son La Prison national special relic site.

In addition, the units also organised a pickleball tournament, a professional competition for staff of the provincial Museum and Library. These are meaningful and practical activities to celebrate the International Museum Day, and at the same time, introduce and promote local culture and history, and educate the young generation about revolutionary traditions.
