At the event, the association presented 10 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND (19 USD), to 10 disadvantaged students currently being cared for at the centre.

The 2026 “Tet for Children” programme was launched by the association to support poor students and those who overcome difficulties to excel in their study in remote, mountainous, and border communes across the province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Under the programme, 100 scholarships are awarded to students from Ta Xua, Xim Vang and Chieng Hac communes, the provincial Social Protection Centre and the study promotion association of the provincial Border Guard Command. The scholarships are funded through donations from the Dinh Thien Ly Scholarship Fund.

This is an annual activity of the Son La provincial Association for Promoting Education, aimed at encouraging disadvantaged students ahead of the new year and motivating them to continue striving to overcome difficulties and excel in their study and personal development.
