200 water purifiers allocated to households in Long Phieng commune

The Son La provincial Red Cross Society, in cooperation with the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and the Sustainability Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company (SIPCO), organised a programme in Long Phieng commune on November 25 to distribute water purifiers as part of community and climate action initiatives.

During the programme, 200 water purifiers were handed directly to poor households without access to clean water. Residents were also given detailed instructions on how to use and maintain the devices to ensure long-term effectiveness. The total value of the gifts was 200 million VND (7,580 USD).

The programme directly supported households lacking clean water and helped spread humanitarian values, encouraging the participation of organisations, individuals, and benefactors in charitable activities. This is one of the practical efforts to help the locality overcome difficulties in domestic water supply and improve the quality of life for residents.
