Since the beginning of this year, the provincial Red Cross Society has joined hands with organisations, businesses, and donors to build a 300 million VND (11,380 USD) semi-boarding kitchen for Phieng Pan Primary and Secondary School in Phieng Pan commune.

It also coordinated with the Hai Phong city Red Cross Society to present 1,000 winter coats worth 120 million VND to students in Muoi Noi commune, and delivered 53 million VND from the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee to the kitchen of Chieng Ngam Primary and Secondary School in Chieng La commune.

In collaboration with the Thien Tam (Kind Heart) Fund under Vingroup, the Son La Red Cross Society awarded 44 scholarships totaling 220 million VND to underprivileged students, helping improve living conditions and study opportunities for children in disadvantaged areas.
