“Bridge of Happiness” project inaugurated

The Son La provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with the National Volunteer Centre and the “Power of 2,000” Project, on September 22 held the inauguration ceremony for the “Bridge of Happiness” in Cho Cong hamlet, Phieng Cam commune.

This youth-led project celebrates the 16th Congress of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term and the 130th founding anniversary of Son La province (October 10, 1895 –2025).

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the spillway bridge.

The spillway bridge crosses a stream in Cho Cong hamlet (formerly part of Chieng Noi commune, Mai Son district), an area affected by floods in August 2024. It connects the local residential area with the hamlet’s kindergarten and primary school. Construction began in December 2024. The bridge measures 35 metres in length and over 4 metres in width.

The project had a total investment of 470 million VND (17,790 USD), funded by the National Volunteer Centre, the “Power of 2,000” Project, Mobile Money (Momo) Services JSC, and the Nuoi Em Ecosystem.
