Disaster-affected households in Muong Lan, Sop Cop receive assistance

The Hanoi Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Son La provincial Red Cross Society, organised a programme on September 20 to provide gifts for households affected by natural disasters in Muong Lan and Sop Cop communes.

At the programme, the working delegation presented 5 tonnes of rice to 250 households in Muong Lan and Sop Cop communes; 50 sets of desks and chairs, 200 Mid-Autumn Festival gift packages, along with many essentials for students of the Sop Cop Primary and Secondary School. The total support amounted to 127 million VND (4,800 USD), funded by the Hanoi Red Cross Society and donations from organisations and donors.
